Isaiah Resources
Who or what do you worship?
Isaiah 66:1-2, 22-24
1. What area(s) of your life do you struggle to bring under the authority of God’s Word? What does repentance and faith look like in this area?
2. A.W. Tozer writes, “Jesus was born of a virgin, suffered under Pontius Pilate, died on the cross and rose from the grave to make worshipers out of rebels!” How can we pray that Jesus would work deeper worship in your heart and life?
How to Pray for Renewal
Isaiah 63:7-64:12
Remember past grace. Using 63:7-14 remember God’s past grace displayed on the cross. Praise God for how he has worked in your life in the past.
Lament poor spiritual health. Using 63:1-64:3 lament how you feel that God is distant and how you long for him to show up and show off in our church, in your life, etc.
Repent of your sin. Using 64:4-7 repent of your sin, especially your righteousness.
Ask for renewal. Using 64:8-12 bring petitions for renewal before the Lord. Pray for the church local and global, pray for your neighbors to come to faith, pray for the burdens on your heart for other people, and pray for your own heart.
Let Zion Thrill Your Heart
Isaiah 60:1-22
1. How does the promise of heaven thrill your heart?
2. Are there relationships or circumstances in your life that feel hopeless? How does the hope of being with God forever enliven you in those tough situations today?
3. Are there any non-believers in your life you've lost hope for regarding the salvation of their soul? Pray you'd believe that there is still hope, and pray for God to open their eyes to his light.
